Description
Abramson Cancer Center — Patient and Family Services offers comprehensive supportive care for patients with cancer and their families. Services include individual and family counseling, psychosocial support, mental health screening, spiritual care, oncology social work and patient navigation, nutritional counseling, support groups and workshops (for example, the "Writing a Life" program), and practical assistance such as transportation support and help accessing clinical resources and trials. These services are provided by licensed social workers and multidisciplinary specialists at the Abramson Cancer Center located in the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine and across the Penn Medicine cancer service line to help patients and families manage the emotional, social, and practical challenges of cancer care.
