Bios

  • Deborah Rubin

    VMD, Medical Director

Dr. Rubin enjoys spending time with her family and spending time with her animals. Why I do what I do: Thanks to my dad (Ellis Rubin), I was fortunate enough to be exposed to veterinary medicine as a kid. He used to bring sick animals home to provide round- the- clock-care and he would have me come in when there were interesting things to see. I never grew out of wanting to be a vet. I love being able to help solve pet's problems and being a part of their care at all stages of their lives. There is no better career choice for me.

    Education:

  • Ellis Rubin

    VMD

Dr. Rubin enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with his two dogs and three cats. National Institutes of Health

  • Madhu Munthala

    DVM

Dr. Madhu graduated vet school in India and pursued MS at Purdue University and ECFVG certification at Iowa State University. She worked as an associate veterinarian at Shreveport, LA before starting with us. She lives with her husband who is also a veterinarian in Bensalem, PA. They enjoy their little darling "Taffy", birds "Minu" and "Jinu" and fish for now but hope to get a Golden Retriever and an Irish Setter when they have a home. In their spare time they love cooking, gardening, and outdoor activities.

    Services:

  • Patrick Barnes

    DVM

Dr. Patrick Barnes has always had compassion and love for animals and people. He moved to Philadelphia almost 2 years ago. He is the older brother of three younger sisters. Dr. Barnes grew up in the Maryland/ DC area and was a boy scout, and played childhood sports. He remains an active part of the community. In high school, he was drum major in the marching band. Dr. Patrick Barnes graduated in 2004 from Northwestern High school. In 2008 he graduated from North Carolina A&T Stat University cum laude with a degree in Animal Science, and in 2012 fulfilled his child hood dream of becoming a veterinarian. While at Tuskegee Veterinary School, Dr. Barnes served as a class officer on the executive board, and was a member of the Canine Kennel Club, and Lab Animal Club. With the Kennel Club Dr. Barnes learned some of the in and outs of dog showing. Dr. Barnes is an active member of his church, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. serving on various boards and committees for both. One of the greatest loves that Dr. Barnes has is time spent with family, friends, and pets (all rescues from a school adoption program). Why I do what I do: I take pleasure in Veterinary Medicine because it brings peace to my heart. I enjoy each day working to keep pets healthy and happy and helping owners take care of their pets. I could not think of a more rewarding profession to combine my passion for medicine and uplifting spirits of pets and pet parents. I consider a huge blessing to work with people with similar goals.

  • Jesse Gasparro

    DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Jesse Gasparro grew up in New Jersey. He attended Ross University and finished his clinical year at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the youngest of five children. He knew that he wanted to be a veterinarian at a young age and has always worked toward that goal. He loves reading books and playing tennis. He is recently married and lives with his wife and two cats “Lily” and “Franklin”. Why I do what I do: I have always loved working with and learning more about animals. I find animals to be incredibly fascinating and fun to work with. Veterinary medicine is very rewarding to me because I enjoy helping animals and through them being able to help the people who own and care for them.
