    From the time Dr. Latha Cherath was 8 years old, she wanted to take care of the sick and dying and provide care and comfort as only a physician could. Becoming a hospitalist was a natural fit. “It’s an honor to serve seniors during their hospital stays,” she says. “I am dedicated to caring for them with the dignity and respect they deserve.” Dr. Cherath especially enjoys listening to her patients’ stories and providing education to support their health. She has traveled around the world and volunteered in refugee camps and in medical clinics serving the poor. When she’s away from work, Dr. Cherath loves to spend time with her husband and children, listen to podcasts, read, write, go on long hikes, watch movies, and listen to music. She also dreams of traveling to Greece and Turkey, and seeing the remnants of ancient civilizations.
