Michael George, MD, MSCE

Dr. Michael George, MD, MSCE, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology, Assistant Professor of Epidemiology, and Fellowship Program Director for the Penn Rheumatology Fellowship Program. Dr. George earned his MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a Master’s in Clinical Epidemiology (MSCE) from Penn. His clinical interests include myositis, interstitial lung disease, and rheumatoid arthritis. His research is focused on pharmacoepidemiology, particularly the comparative safety of different immunosuppressive medications and the optimal use of glucocorticoids for the treatment of autoimmune rheumatic diseases.
